Argent

You can access Vault and PWRD through Argent, an easy-to-use mobile DeFi wallet app.
Argent is a mobile Ethereum wallet that makes access to Web3 easy. It’s a non-custodial solution for digital money, assets and identities, “combining sleek design with bulletproof security”.
They protect more than $1bn with multi-signature transfers and no seed phrases, using social recovery and guardians together with biometric authentication.
The Argent mobile app offers direct access to 10 exchanges and several DeFi applications (including Gro), meaning you don’t need another wallet to access the world of DeFi.
It's secure while being easy to use, and for many people is the simplest way to access DeFi as you don't need to worry about seed phrases or web dApps.

zkSync allows cheaper and faster access to Gro Vault

Argent has integrated Gro as one of its zkSync launch partners. Initially Argent on zkSync is offering Gro's high yield leveraged Vault product.
zkSync is a Layer 2 scaling solution that offers cheaper and faster transactions than the main Ethereum blockchain (Layer 1). Layer 2 solutions move most activity away from Layer 1, while still inheriting its security and finality.
zkSync uses less gas than either Layer 1 transactions or ‘optimistic rollups’ (e.g. other Layer 2 solutions like Arbitrum or Optimism). You can read more about it from Argent.

How to use Gro on Argent

Using Gro is easy with Argent, and works directly from the Argent mobile app. Both Ethereum Layer 1 and zkSync are equally straightforward.
  1. 1.
Download the Argent mobile app either on the App Store or through Google Play
  2. 2.
Create your Argent account, which serves as your Ethereum address
  3. 3.
Add funds to your Argent wallet with fiat (bank transfer or payment card) or by depositing stablecoins from another Ethereum wallet
  4. 4.
Tap invest and choose Gro 🎉

How do I use Argent wallet to connect to Gro?

On Gro dApp, you can access your Argent wallet through Wallet Connect. Please see this article for a step-by-step guide. Note that Argent wallet does not support Avalanche yet, so you will not be able to use Argent wallet to access Labs at the moment.
You can connect your Argent wallet on Gro dApp by clicking "Connect Wallet" and scanning the QR code. Note that you would not be able to connect to the zkSync wallet just yet!
If you experience difficulties in wallet connection, try clearing your browser's cookies or browsing history for app.gro.xyz

Why is the dollar value shown on Argent less than what I've deposited?

This could happen occasionally since the dollar value displayed on Argent wallet comes from our Uniswap USDC pool for PWRD and Vault respectively. As these tokens get traded, the pool price could go off-peg to the actual value of the tokens. When this happens, arbitrage would take place and would bring the value back very close to what you'd get if you were to withdraw your Vault or PWRD on our dApp.
On top of this, USDC/USD exchange rate also fluctuate at times, adding another contributing factors to having an inaccurate value shown in your Argent wallet.
The best way to check your Vault and PWRD total value would be on Gro protocol as it reflects the value you could redeem from the protocol should you choose to withdraw funds. Argent users can connect to the dApp through WalletConnect to check the total value as well.

Reminder about Risk

DeFi is still a very new space, and while that's exciting, it comes with risk. Gro Protocol's software helps you access this world, but make sure you do your own research and only supply assets you can afford to lose.
