How to get a wallet and stablecoins if you don't have them
If you're new to DeFi, there are plenty of great tutorials on the web for getting your first wallet. We've compiled some of those links here for you.
Getting Your First Wallet
The first thing you're going to need to do to use any DeFi products is get a wallet. The easiest way to do this is by installing MetaMask. MetaMask is a Chrome extension and app that will allow you to interact with DeFi products by connecting and managing your wallet. If you install it, it will come with a wallet. If you have crypto already, you can transfer to your MetaMask wallet. You can also buy ETH with MetaMask directly.
You can also use an Argent wallet, one of our launch partners. They are a mobile based wallet with useful features like biometric security and a fiat 'on-ramp' which is a way to buy stablecoins or ETH with a bank card.
You'll need stablecoins to use Gro and any other DeFi product. The stablecoins we support here are DAI, USDC, and USDT. If you already have those on some other platform or wallet, you can transfer them to your MetaMask wallet or your Argent wallet. You can buy stablecoins on several platforms, including Coinbase and Binance, and transfer them to your MetaMask wallet, or you can buy them from within the Argent wallet (by selecting 'Add funds'). You can also buy ETH directly in your either wallet to swap for a stablecoin using one of these protocols.
